Hi, I’m Maddie.

In my time working in the fields of social work and mental health, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of diverse populations, which has shaped and enriched my therapeutic approach. My work has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the unique challenges individuals face across different cultural, social, and identity-based contexts, and I am committed to providing a supportive, empathetic space for each client.

A key aspect of my approach is rooted in a person-centered philosophy, where I emphasize empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard. This creates a safe, nonjudgmental environment to explore your feelings and experiences. I also incorporate attachment theory, which helps us understand how early relationships shape emotional patterns and how those dynamics continue to impact our present-day relationships.

I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, both of which provide practical tools for emotional regulation, psychological flexibility, and navigating difficult emotions with resilience. Somatic work is also an essential part of my practice, helping you reconnect with your body and recognize the physical sensations tied to your emotional experiences.

I am particularly passionate about supporting queer individuals on their journeys of self-discovery and acceptance. It’s a core belief of mine that everyone deserves to feel empowered in their identity, and I strive to create a space where queer folks can come into their identities authentically and feel that they are not alone in their experiences.

Relational work is at the heart of my practice, as I believe in fostering a genuine, collaborative, and compassionate therapeutic relationship. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you in your process of healing, growth, and self-discovery.
