Hi, I’m Tyler.
As a first-generation college student, I understand the complexities and challenges of navigating life’s transitions. I began my journey at community college before transferring to UC Davis, where I earned a Bachelor’s in Sociology and a Minor in Education. My passion for helping others led me to pursue a Master’s of Science in Counseling, specializing in Career Counseling. Over the years, I have had the pleasure to work with individuals from various walks of life, including survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, transitioning youth, teens, children 5-21 and college students.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is central to the healing process. I strive to deeply understand each client's unique background, identity, experiences, values, and hopes. My approach is holistic and relational, incorporating trauma-informed care, attachment theory, narrative therapy, and values based therapy. I also integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT) to support clients on their journey.
Whether we are processing difficult emotions or exploring new perspectives, my goal is to build a strong therapeutic connection that encourages self-reflection, empowering you to overcome challenges and flourish. Outside of therapy, I enjoy traveling, cooking, fly fishing, and spending time outdoors, often drawing on my love for nature to inform my therapeutic work.
